Octaga was founded in April 2001 as Pilgrims Global Ltd by David Allison, following a distinguished career serving with the elite 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, and later with UK Special Forces, 22 SAS. Having operated in hostile environments across counter-terrorism, close protection and surveillance roles, David and others with similarly authentic backgrounds began advising and delivering security services within the civilian sector.
That reputation, built on trust from Heads of Security across major corporations, film production, pharmaceutical, banking and private family offices, saw the company become a first-choice provider. In 2003 the business became an accepted member of the British Security Industry Association, and in 2004 it was rebranded as Octaga Security Services Ltd.
The name is drawn from the Greek word ‘Oktagonon’, meaning ‘eight angles’, symbolising strength through the many disciplines that make up a genuinely integrated security offering. Today, Octaga remains an independent, family-owned business, led by Founder & CEO David Allison and Managing Director Tracey Allison.
