Our uniformed officers carry out regular day, night and weekend patrols in liveried vehicles, providing security and safety checks alongside a visible deterrent to intruders. Where an incident occurs, officers liaise with the police and other agencies as required, and remain on site until the premises are secured and reset.

Octaga Security Services was appointed to provide an integrated security solution supporting the safety, security and protection of Council-owned properties, assets and public-facing facilities. The contract combines manned guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response, providing a flexible and responsive service tailored to the Council’s operational requirements.
To complement daytime guarding provision, Octaga delivers out-of-hours mobile patrols between 17:00 and 08:00, providing a visible security presence and helping to deter criminal activity while protecting Council properties and assets outside core operating hours.
Our mobile security personnel conduct proactive and structured patrols, remaining alert to signs of intrusion, suspicious activity, damage, security vulnerabilities or other potential threats. Where an incident is identified, officers respond promptly, assess the situation and take appropriate action, including contacting the emergency services where police intervention is required.
All mobile patrol services are delivered in accordance with the BS 7984-3:2020 Code of Practice for Mobile Security Services, supporting a consistent, professional and accountable approach to mobile security operations.
As part of the integrated security provision, Octaga provides keyholding and alarm response services, including the secure management of client keys, controlled locking and unlocking of buildings and reactive attendance following alarm activations or security-related incidents.
