Octaga holds the UK’s highest industry accreditations across both physical and technical security, independently audited and renewed on a rolling basis. Every certification below is verifiable directly with the awarding body.
Guarding Gold is our industry’s highest award for the guarding of client premises, incorporating BS 7499 (Security Operations), BS 7858 (Screening of Security Personnel) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). It covers close protection, door supervision, event stewarding, keyholding and response, and static site guarding services, and now extends to both our Hereford and Maidenhead offices.
NACOSS Gold covers the design, installation and maintenance of alarm, CCTV and access control systems, demonstrating compliance with BS EN ISO 9001, PD 6662 and the NSI’s own quality schedules. Both schemes are independently audited twice a year by the National Security Inspectorate.
The Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation recognises our commitment to health and safety and the welfare of staff, awarded following an independent assessment of our business arrangements and procedures against the SafeContractor Assessment Standard.
Peninsula Business Services have also awarded Octaga their “Employer of Excellence” accreditation, in recognition of our commitment to staff welfare, legal working practices and the continued professional development of all management and staff.
Octaga is an approved member of the Security Industry Authority’s Approved Contractor Scheme, assessed on the SIA’s behalf by the NSI, covering door supervision, security guarding, keyholding and close protection.
In our most recent audit, Octaga was awarded a score of 132 points and highlighted for good practice in staff welfare checking procedures. “We are delighted with the results and will continue to improve our standards and delivery of service to our clients and staff alike,” said Tracey Allison, Director.
As proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant, Octaga is committed to supporting the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, reservists and military families. The Covenant is a national pledge ensuring that those who serve, or have served, are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged because of their service.
Given that much of Octaga’s own leadership and officers have served within the UK Special Forces and wider Armed Forces, this commitment is a natural extension of the company’s heritage. We actively encourage our clients and business partners to consider becoming signatories themselves.
Octaga holds the National Security Inspectorate’s EMS Gold approval, confirming that our Environmental Management System meets BS EN ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management. The scheme covers the office-based activities at our Hereford head office.
First awarded in 2021, the approval reflects our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, meeting our legal obligations and continually improving how we operate, with the same independent NSI audit regime that underpins our Guarding and NACOSS Gold accreditations.
